I stopped at this restaurant for the first time. It usually closes at 10:30 pm, and I was going to reach around 11. I called them and they said no problem, they would prepare my food and wait for me until 11 so I could pick it up. That was really great customer service. The food was very tasty. I am a long haul truck driver, and I stopped here for my 10 hour rest break. In the morning, I also had tea and paratha for breakfast, which was again very delicious. The place has a nice mountain view and gives a proper Punjab style atmosphere, which makes it even better. I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place. Now this has become my regular stop. Whenever I am on this route, I will have my dinner and breakfast from here. ~ TJ K
What a find! I travel a lot between Sterling and Cheyenne and had no idea this place was here. Randomly discovered it and am so glad I did! My family loves Indian cuisine but the best we could find was in Denver. This place rivals the best we have had anywhere. The people who own this restaurant know what they are doing. The food is incredible and owner and kitchen staff are so kind. We had the butter chicken, roti flatbread and I was given a chai tea on the house because the owner could tell I was battling a cold. Get a chai tea! I will now stop here every time on my Cheyenne travels to bring an amazing dinner back home to Sterling. Best restaurant out here. ~ MountainEli
Overall, we had an awesome experience. My daughter’s birthday was the reason for our visit and we had a group of 7. The service was excellent but realize this is an Indian family restaurant and only a couple members speak fluent English. However, that fact aside, the service was excellemt. The Samosa Chat was amazing and the accompanying Chutney was spicy and quite tasty. Our food was excellent and the restaurant even comp’ed us all some rice pudding for dessert. The building is showing some wear and tear but overall we had a great experience. ~ Frank H
1st time stopping here today, word of mouth from a friend. Was tired of the burger’s and pizza and wanted something traditional. Decided to get the veg thali and it did not disappoint. Food was fresh and hot. Couldn’t leave without trying the carrot halwa and it was delicious, along with some hot tea. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Lot of drivers stop here, me including one of them but cmon guys if your going to use their restroom please keep it clean. Beacuse I went to wash my hands afterwards and the person who used it before me made a mess! ~ Baljit S
Tikki chicken masala was served piping hot with the perfect amount of sweetness and not too spicy. The chicken was tender as advertised served with good basmati rice. The servings were generous, l left with a full stomach. The mango lassi drink was flavorful and had a nice chill to it. The garlic naan had good flavor with a little crisp to it. The atmosphere could have been better, no music and it didn't feel authentic, it was very drab. The waiter only visited me once to take my order. I'd still come back to try something else. ~ Perry R
We stopped by this Punjabi dhaba for lunch, and we’re so glad we did. The food was simple, fresh, and full of homemade flavor. We ordered two veg thalis, which included kadhi pakora, dal makhani, aloo gobhi, and sarson ka saag. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The rotis were the highlight—they were incredibly soft, fresh, and tasted just like homemade rotis. If you’re craving homemade-style Punjabi food, we definitely recommend this place. It’s a great stop for a satisfying and tasty meal. ~ Deepika
Legit Indian food. Really good. I've lived in India and frequently eat Indian whenever possible and am very impressed by this new addition to Kimball. We've tried it twice - the butter chicken and saag (spinach) chicken were our favorites. Excellent dessert kheer and the dahi (yogurt) is homemade, just like you'd find in Delhi. The curb appeal is still a work in process since it's a new restaurant, but don't let that stop you from trying the food. ~ Ryan B
We drove from Scottsbluff to try The Indian Plate after a recommendation from a Kimball resident originally from Nepal. I had the Paneer, my wife the Navratan Korma and my daughter the Chicken Vindaloo. We ended up eating off each other's plates because all three dishes were delicious! Also great Naan bread. If you love Indian food or are simply curious give The Indian Plate a try. They can adjust how mild or spicy you want your dish. ~ Scottsbluff T
One of the best place in Nebraska to enjoy the best food to satisfy ur hunger. The food was fresh, hot & delicious. The quality was super👌🏻 and portion size was so good. The service boy was so respectful, he given me extra green chutney also. Both the uncles were so natured on the front counter and Gurwinder Paji best man, so grounded person. According to my experience i give them 5star reviews. ~ Albert J
very yummy food, fresh i would definitely recommend we got 2 thali and 4 piece samosas and chai and barfi and couple more things we spent $80 but definitely worth it i would stop here next time i come but it’s really cold in there if you sit and eat there it’s like freezing in there they never have there heat on i don’t even think they have a heater in there at all. ~ Harsimrat
One of my friends had recommended me this place as she had recently visited. As an Indian it brought back so many memories. I would have never expected something this amazing! The food items that I loved were the tandoori roti, butter chicken, and the gajar halwa was just on a whole other level. If you want get old memories back or just try new food. Come to Indian plate. ~ Supriya K
A roadside diner that has replaced the standard chicken fried steak menu with delicious Punjabi food. The food was great and really hit the spot after a long drive. The diner is a little old and dated but the service is friendly and the food is great. A nice change of pace from the typical interstate dining offerings. ~ Jason L
Had an incredible dining experience here. The food was having authentic Indian flavours. The ambience was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The service was top notch with attentive staff ensuring our needs were met. I cant wait to return and savour more of their delicious dishes. ~ Nishesh B

The Indian Plate is a best restaurant, the ambience of this place is amazing as it is very soothing, service is 💯, the food is very delicious 😋 With good Aroma I ordered veg thali all curry and vegetables our delicious even bread they served in thali is very soft Over all quality they served is quite good. ~ JASLEEN K
Giving a 5 star on the food, service & atmosphere. The parking lot is the as it has been since the previous owner had it. The building on the outside looks almost abandoned, but yes it’s open. They are remodeling and you can see signs of the debris outside around on the ground, lol. But the food good and tasty. ~ Mothertrucker
It's a great stop have some Eat at the restaurant and get your 10 hrs in of sleep I had the chicken Tenbreway and garlic bread, rice.Sorry about the spelling but what you want for a free review LoL ,it's a savory butter sweet with a hint of sweet and a non burning after spice not a hot pepper or Cajun heat ~ Ray D
Best Punjabi dhaba truck stop around! Food taste just like home, fresh rotis, good daal and chai was top level. Staff very friendly and respectful to drivers. Parking easy and place clean too. Perfect spot for truckers to take break and enjoy real Punjabi food on highway. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend to all desi drivers ~ parvinder B
Omg this place is a gem, food is served hot and fresh, family friendly, trucker friendly, anybody friendly, facilities are clean, plenty parking, easily accessible, if you haven’t tried them put them on the check list or you haven’t lived life! Exit 20 ~ Gurtaaj N
First time stopping here and very glad I did! Parking is a bit scattered for 18 wheelers but plenty of space , the food and service at the indian restaurant was amazing super friendly welcoming folks with amazing food for very reasonably prices and large portions definitely will be back!! ~ Joe K
I’ve been coming here from a while never disappointed their food is always fresh and good and the people work here they’re really nice. From outside it’s an old building but inside they have clean little restaurant, highly recommend their Amritsar kulcha ~ G 3
We was first time in this place. All food was delicious. This is an incredible combination of spices and vegetables. We ordered the national bread and samsa. Be sure to come and try it. We will definitely come here again. The people here are very friendly and kind.☺️ ~ Таня М
We stopped at this amazing Indian restaurant on our way to Glacier National Park. We ordered Butter Chicken, a vegetable entree and an order of garlic naan and it was all amazing, so authentic! The Indian Plate is located off the I-80 Kimball Nebraska exit. Patrick & Kevin ~ Kevin Z
